Problem: Root ingrowth
Massive root ingrowths blocked the entire sewer pipe system. The grounds of the school were landscaped with ecological value with a large number of plane trees. The rooting of the trees led to this extensive problem.
Another challenge was the complexity of the pipe routing and the small working space.
To eliminate the problem permanently, the wastewater works of the city of Niederkassel opted for a new installation using the IP-plus welding system.
